I created this lighthearted, monochromatic collage from 128 hand cut triangles arranged in an alternating directional pattern, reminiscent of a “Jubilant” or “Harlequin” quilt.  The positive space made from stamps with a warm color scheme and sweet and romantic themed designs such as hearts and flowers balances with the negative space of the white paper background leading you through the composition.  I made this collage around Valentine’s Day and had fun sneaking in imagery along that theme including several faces to make you smile.  The title is inspired by loved ones who we adore in spite of and because of their imperfections.
